A special tip for you !

The jury will be fluent in english, so making a game in english (or in your native language) won’t be an handicap for the games selection, the jury prize or the homebrew prize. Nevertheless, as the games exhibition holds in France, some of the public might not understand english or your native language (thus affecting your chances for the public price). It is something you might want to keep in mind.

If we choose homebrew as our category, will we be able to win the other awards?

  2. admin

It won’t be possible to win both Oujevipo award and Homebrew award, but it’s very possible to win one of them + the public award. 🙂

  3. aprotasenya

Was the theme announced? It seems like it’s time for it, but I can’t find it.
Also – can I check my registration somehow? Just to be sure that Google Forms worked correctly, I’m registered and will be able to upload a game when time comes?

  4. admin

The theme will be announced at 17h30 (GT+1) and you registered correctly 🙂
We’ll also send you a mail with further instructions for the upload

Hi. If the games have a chance of being exhibited in a cabinet, should they be designed for a cabinet from the start?

eg, is the screen 16:9 or 4:3 or other? What resolution? Portrait or Landscape? Mirrored display or Direct? What type of controllers would be used, since they may use a different API? And what will be the approximate specification of the PC inside?

  6. admin

The whole idea is that we want to design the cabinets FOR the games. So there isn’t any special requirements.

I don’t know what will be the screen sizes etc, but we’ll always find a very DIY way to exhibit the game.
It won’t be clean, it won’t be perfect, but at least it will be fun 🙂

So, it´s 17h30 GT+1 where is the theme?

  8. I’m a bit confused by the « No words » rule. It’s the one I wanted to go for (among others) but I don’t understand, does it mean we cannot use symbols (dollar sign, plus, arrows) and numbers as well? Or just no alphabet letters?

  9. admin

Numbers and symbole are ok 🙂

  10. peacegiverman

One more about rule #3. Are spoken words allowed (no text, audio only)?

  11. admin

If you subscribed, you’ll soon get a mail with every clarification you need!
